As part of the Adolescent Girls project, two distinctive initiatives stand out as significant milestones in empowering and enhancing the status of girls in society. These initiatives embody a strong commitment to empowering girls and encouraging them to make a positive impact in their surroundings. This program is characterized by uniqueness and innovation, allowing girls the opportunity to freely express themselves and develop their leadership skills.

These initiatives revolve around empowering young women at the heart of social change, stemming from a strong collaboration with the Waad Network. Our main goal is to empower girls and motivate them not only to achieve individual success but also to achieve collective positive impact in their society.

These initiatives are part of our broader vision to build a strong and inspirational generation of young women who play an active role in community development. Here, we open doors for girls not only to develop their skills and personal capabilities but also to deepen their understanding of the importance of their role in achieving positive change.

Popular Games and Drawing Initiative:

Creative Drawing and Art Activity:

As part of the groundbreaking initiative sponsored by the Waad Network, the drawing and creativity activity focused heavily on exploring and developing the creative side of adolescent girls. They were accompanied during a unique art session by a professional art instructor, inspiring them to express their ideas and visions through drawing. The excellent drawing skills were reflected in the creation of seven expressive art pieces, portraying the beauty and diversity of Yemeni traditional games. This activity was an interactive and creative moment, where girls were able to freely express themselves, enhancing their creativity and promoting positive communication.

Traditional Games:

The importance of traditional Yemeni games activity lies as a fundamental element in the initiative’s content, embodying the significant social and psychological values they carry. During the session, the spotlight was shed on the importance of these heritage games and their positive impact on the individual and the community. The activities included introducing new and unfamiliar games, prompting girls to actively participate in these cultural experiences. They were encouraged to document these valuable and heritage moments, adding additional dimensions of fun and learning to this rich experience.

Tree Planting Initiative:

Environmental and School Coordination:
The tree planting initiative represents a step towards sustainability and social responsibility, as girls led this initiative with effective coordination with the school management. The girls were well-prepared and organized, and the initiative was successfully implemented on a sunny day, integrating environmental responsibilities with school activities harmoniously.

Tree Planting and School Beautification:

When the girls embarked on tree planting, they had the opportunity to transform their school into a vibrant green oasis. Thanks to the tremendous efforts and inspiration provided by the girls, Al-Shuhada School witnessed a radical change in its appearance and beautification. The girls played an active role in planting trees and organizing green spaces with their own hands, giving the school a natural touch that reflects its commitment to the environment.

As part of this activity, a specialized agricultural expert provided comprehensive explanations about the types of trees planted and the importance of caring for them. The girls understood how to care for trees and contribute to preserving environmental diversity, adding environmental and educational dimensions to the initiative.
