Today in Taiz, a crucial workshop was held aimed at developing a comprehensive executive plan for the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, as part of the Local Mediation Improvement Initiative in the field of sanitation and improvement. This workshop is funded by Deep Route Consultancy and implemented by Sheba Youth Foundation.
Workshop Inauguration:
In conjunction with the workshop’s launch, Ms. Iftihan Al-Mashhori, the General Manager of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, opened the session by emphasizing the project’s significance and how to implement the current strategic plan effectively.
Ms. Iftihan highlighted the workshop’s importance in creating a comprehensive executive plan for the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, underlining the primary project’s significance in enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
Noteworthy Attendance:
The workshop witnessed the participation of 20 individuals, including the Sanitation and Improvement Fund’s board members, representatives, directors from the directorates of Sala, Al-Mazaffar, and Al-Qahira. Civil society representatives and experienced strategic planning academics, including Prof. Dr. Abdulraqeeb Al-Samawi, the Director-General of Accreditation and Licensing at the Academic Accreditation Council for Higher Education Quality Assurance, were also present.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Iftihan emphasized that this project reflects the commitment of local authorities and partners to achieving sustainable development in Taiz, enhancing services to meet the citizens’ needs.
Workshop Objectives:
The workshop addresses critical topics, including an analysis of the current sanitation situation in the governorate and identifying immediate needs. The focus is also on developing an executive plan that defines goals and necessary measures to improve environmental and living conditions for citizens. This workshop represents a significant step towards achieving effective improvement in the sanitation and improvement sector in Taiz.
