Welcome to Sheba Youth Foundation for Development,
We are pleased to welcome you to our website and to share part of our journey of working for peace and development in Yemen.
At Sheba, we believe that peace does not begin only at negotiation tables or through formal agreements. It also begins in people’s everyday lives: in their access to water, sanitation, roads, and public services, and in their ability to express their needs and participate in shaping the solutions that affect them.
Our field experience began in Taiz Governorate, where we learned that public services can be an entry point for building trust, that local mediation can open new spaces for dialogue, and that women, youth, and adolescent girls are not only target groups, but essential partners in creating peace and development. Today, our work and partnerships extend across different governorates of Yemen, engaging local communities, women, youth, decision-makers, and local and international actors.
We work through three interconnected pillars: Peace-Led Governance and Public Services; Women, Youth, Peace and Security; and Adolescent Girls through Waad Network. Through these pillars, we seek to transform the challenges facing conflict-affected communities into opportunities for dialogue, learning, trust-building, and collective action.
Our work is guided by our values of neutrality, empowerment, participation, and team spirit. We hope this website will serve as a window into our experience, lessons learned, and partnerships, and as a bridge for new collaboration with everyone who believes that peace is possible when solutions are shaped from within and led by local hands.

Sheba Youth works to enhance the capabilities of youth and women and empower them to be an influential and effective force in society, and to empower local communities to achieve, build, and maintain peace and sustainable social cohesion.
Team Spirit
Sheba Youth promotes a one-team spirit with all actors in all our activities in a way that ensures complementarity and efficiency.
Participation
Sheba Youth ensures the active participation of society, especially targeted beneficiaries, starting from identifying their needs, implementing activities and projects, and ending with assessing their impact in the short, medium, and long term.
Neutrality
Sheba Youth carries out its work impartially and without bias towards any party to ensure reliability, integrity, and effectiveness in a sustainable manner.
