The Wa’ad Network – Yemen participated in a "Leadership Skills" workshop, organized by the Karama Foundation as part of the Wa’ad Network’s regional training program. The workshop took place from October 24 to 28, 2026, in Giza, Arab Republic of Egypt, with Ritaj Mohammed, a member of the network, in attendance.
Spanning five days, the workshop featured individual and group activities, as well as practical exercises focused on developing communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, while fostering self-confidence and teamwork. The training included drafting and delivering speeches, allowing participants to practice expressing their ideas and articulating their messages with clarity.
The workshop also provided a space for participants to exchange experiences and learn about the activities and initiatives of the Wa’ad Network across various countries. During the event, the experience of the Wa’ad Network – Yemen was highlighted, offering an opportunity to explore initiatives led by its members and review materials published on the network’s website.
This participation underscores the importance of providing girls with opportunities for regional learning and networking, and of bridging the gap between training and practice—ultimately supporting the development of their leadership skills and their engagement in community-based activities and initiatives.
